Bingoland, a network of twelve online bingo games, will be adding a new UK-style bingo game, powered by Playtech, a leading developer of software for online games and casinos. Playtech is releasing this new version of bingo following successful releases of four other new programs: Blackjack Surrender, Derby Day, a horse racing simulator, and two new types of video poker

The UK-style bingo uses 90 balls, unlike the American version which uses only 75. Unlike American bingo, the UK version features cards organized into nine columns and three rows. Each game has three winners. The player who fills one row first wins, as well as the player who fills two rows first, and the player who fills the whole card.

Bingoland hopes that UK users will enjoy the familiar game, and have custom-tailored it to include Cockney-sounding dealers using the traditional calls, such as “Dirty Knee, 33” or "Garden Gate, 8."

The Playtech system includes 3-D animation and is set up for full player interaction. There is a chat utility, which allows both individual and public messaging, as well as the option for players to upload their photos.

In addition, Playtech’s technology provides some bonuses not available in real casinos, such as auto-play and a feature which brings the card closest to winning forward. The system is so sophisticated, in fact, that you can leave it playing for you even if you’re offline

For bingo room operators, there are a variety of features that cater to any need. Games can be programmed for any pattern, and the system has a built-in referral system to track how many newcomers each gamer refers. Bingoland and Playtech hope that the new type of bingo will help attract more UK customers than the traditional American bingo has to date.
