Last week, as reported on June 22, by Dot-Bingo.com, Game Tech, the largest supplier of bingo games in Austin, Texas was accused of illegal price fixing. Game Tech International claimed innocence in their initial response, saying that they had not violated any rules. However, this week, Game Tech International has agreed to pay a fine to settle the complaint.
The bingo equipment manufacturer allegedly set prices to be used by distributors in charging the charities they leased to. While Game Tech’s lawyer claimed that there was no wrongdoing, the company has proposed a deal with the Texas Lottery Commission to pay a fine and settle the issue. A spokesman for Game Tech said that the deal could not be discussed until it is finalized with the lottery commission.
