Gala Bingo, one of the UK’s largest bingo operators, has hired Experian Intact to help manage mailings. Gala Group regularly sends out mailings to Gala Bingo and Gala Casino patrons. In order to raise the efficacy of the mailings, Experian will be working with Gala to help expunge irrelevant addresses from their mailing lists.
Experian tracks address changes, address duplication, and other conditions which cause mailings to be ineffective. For example, Experian makes sure that addresses of the deceased are removed from the mailing list, preventing the “junk mail after death” phenomenon. In addition, Experian will help Gala ensure that mailings will not be sent outside of the UK for information that is only relevant to UK residents. Gala hopes that the data cleansing operation will save significant funds, which they will be able to funnel back into improving the Gala Bingo and Casino experience.
