Fourteen elderly women were on their way home to Limavady, a borough in Northern Ireland, from a bingo game in the city of Londonderry when their bus was attacked. An attacker or attackers threw stones and paint bombs at the bus, shattering windows. The attack took place in the village of Greysteel on the Clooney Road.
When the bus windows shattered, the women were showered with paint and glass. The women were terrified, but according to police, none were seriously injured. The attack followed another bus attack earlier in the day, in which a window was shattered and one person was injured.
