Doreen Love from Horncastle, England, and her daughter Pauline were going to watch television after a day out with Doreen’s three grandchildren, but there was nothing on. Now Doreen is thrilled that there was nothing to watch, because that’s why she and her daughter decided to go play a game of bingo at Lincoln’s Gala Bingo.

Doreen won the game in just 35 numbers, and was thrilled to get the club prize of £85 ($148), but when a club worker told her that she had in addition won not only the regional prize of £1,237 ($2,154), but also the national prize of £200,000 ($348,299,) Doreen almost went into shock.

Her daughter Pauline said that when her mother won so early in the game, she had hopes that her mother had won the regional prize, but didn’t even think about the national prize. Doreen and her husband, Mick, a bricklayer who is self-employed, are reportedly planning to travel to China next month. In addition, they plan to spend some of their winnings to make some improvements to their house and to renovate their kitchen.
