The annual UK bingo caller contest is upon us. The southern region is down to just six callers, and one of them is Bobby Blount, 45, from Reading. Bobby has been a bingo caller at BJ’s Luxury Bingo for about four years. Bobby says that he has become somewhat of a celebrity in Reading. He worked as a holiday camp entertainer at first, but later decided to apply for a job at Mecca Bingo in Station Hill, Reading.

Bobby says that the key to being the best bingo caller is to remember that it’s really about being an entertainer. The winner of the southern region contest will represent the region in the main contest in London in November.
