The Game Show Network (GSN), will be airing five special episodes of Lingo, a word game loosely based on bingo, beginning Monday, September 26th and ending Thursday, September 30th. The show will be co-hosted by Chuck Wollery and Miss USA 2004, Shandi Finnessey, and will test the word guessing skills of several celebrities.
Lingo, which is a Bingo based game, features two teams that compete against each other in guessing five letter words. When the correct word is guessed, each member of the winning team may randomly pick a ball out of a bowl of 15 numbered balls, corresponding with their bingo-esque Lingo board.
When a team gets five numbers, either horizontally, vertically or diagonally, they achieve “Lingo,” and receive additional points, much like in Bingo.
The special episodes will feature celebrities such as George Wendt (“Cheers”), Michele Merkin (“Extreme Dodgeball”), and more.
