Sandra Baldwin (34) from Eastfield, Scotland, was playing bingo when her water suddenly broke and she entered labor. Mrs. Baldwin, who works as a scout and guide leader, was a day into a trip to a remote location in Scotland, along with other scouts and leaders aged 10 to 14.
The ambulance had trouble finding the bingo-playing mother, who was only 30 weeks pregnant. She was rushed to a Glasgow hospital, where her birth lasted two long and painful days, at the end of which her new born baby was immediately rushed to a special infant care unit.
It wasn't for another three days before the whole family was united, although Mrs. Baldwin and her newborn daughter, Paige, needed another couple of weeks before they could return home. |
