Gala, a Bingo and casino group, is rumored to be in negotiations to purchase Coral Eurobet, a betting shop chain. Should they succeed, Gala's 166 bingo clubs and casinos will merge with more than 1,200 Coral betting shops, thus creating a business worth nearly four billion GBP (roughly seven billion USD).

Gala Bingo currently has over five million members across its network, paying out over twenty million GBP a week, and is also one of the biggest casino operators in the UK. Gala recently quit its own stock market listing, after having completed a 1.3 billion GBP financial restruction.
