Cebu, the second largest metropolitan area in the Philippines, will play host to a large bingo gathering this weekend. The event, dubbed “Christmas Bingo Milyonaryo” will be held on December 18th at the Casino Filipino de Cebu in the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino. Each player will have to stake 2,500 Philippine pesos ($46.50) for four tickets, for the opportunity to play in 10 high-stakes bingo games.

The winners of games 1-3 will receive 100,000 Philippine pesos ($1,862) each, while the winners of games 4-9 will each win 500,000 Philippine pesos ($9,312). The night's big winner, however, will take home a whopping 2 million Philippine pesos ($37,250) if he or she is the first to call “bingo” in game 10.

Organizers of the special event have promised great entertainment as well as free snacks. Furthermore, they will be dedicating the proceeds of the bingo games to local programs for the needy.
