When the weather turns frigid in the great white north, it tends to drive bingo players into hibernation – or south for the winter. This winter, as in many others, thousands of our Canadian neighbors will be joining the local yokels in sunny Florida for some hot bingo action.

Many bingo halls in the Sunshine State's retirement communities see an influx of visitors from north of the border around this time of year. A strong Canadian dollar and the camaraderie that other older people have to offer also make Florida a perfect getaway destination for Canadian retirees. One thing is for sure - neither blizzards nor hurricanes can stymie a passion for bingo.
