Bingohall.com Survey: Whippersnappers Play Online Bingo, Grannies Fill Up Halls
| People who step into a bingo hall are typically greeted by the sight of middle-aged and elderly ladies daubing away at their bingo cards. One would think that the same stratum of society could be found on online bingo sites too, but a Bingohall.com survey revealed otherwise. Bingohall.com, one of the larger online bingo sites, has found that its main demographic is significantly younger than one would have thought, made up mainly of women in their thirties. |

Bingo Revenues Put California Town Back in the Black
| Few stories feel as good as those of troubled towns managing to pull themselves out of the doldrums and engineer an economic turnaround. And when bingo plays a role in the about-face, there's that much more to rejoice about. The introduction of slots-style bingo gaming to the Pomo Indian tribe's San Pablo Casino in northern California has proved a boon for the city of San Pablo, which has benefited from the resulting influx of millions of dollars in gaming revenue. |

British Ban Might Smoke Bingo Players out of Bingo Halls
| Most regular bingo players in Britain can recognize the sights and smells of an active bingo hall. Usually a light blue haze and faint smell of tobacco are as common in British bingo halls as tea and crumpets are across the Queen's kingdom. Not for long though, as the government has passed legislation that will ban smoking in all clubs, restaurants, pubs, casinos, and bingo halls. |

Video Bingo Machines Not Finding a Sweet Home in Alabama
| Southern hospitality is usually a forte of states like Alabama, but video bingo machines seem to have worn out their welcome in the Yellowhammer State. Alabama's Governor and Attorney General are leading the fight to officially ban video bingo through an amendment to the state's constitution. This means that, if the proposal passes through legislature, Alabama voters would have to decide, once and for all, to authorize video bingo halls or not. |

Well, Michelle M. of Dallas, Texas, tops them all, as she can't pry herself away from bingo even while she's on the toilet. Though some might say she'd be flushing away precious hours on her laptop, her affinity for bingo paid off this week as she won a $5,000 jackpot on Bingohall.com while engaged in a “different” type of downloading. |
