With mobile entertainment expected to generate upwards of $60 billion worldwide over the next few years, according to some estimates, more and more gaming companies are trying to carve out a slice of the lucrative cellular pie. One of these companies, World Entertainment, an Internet gaming software provider, is banking that bingo will be a huge hit on portable handheld devices. Having just completed the testing phase of its bingo-related entertainment features, the company is set to launch its mobile product, which will be available to bingo lovers on most U.S. cellular networks.
According to a World Entertainment spokesman, the company is "delighted to be one step closer to offering innovative bingo-related mobile services that bring together entertainment and social networking for cellphone users across North America." Detailing which cellular company infrastructures the World Entertainment bingo software is compatible with, the spokesman listed Alltel, AT&T, Boost, Cingular, Midwest, Nextel, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon.
