People who step into a bingo hall are typically greeted by the sight of middle-aged and elderly ladies daubing away at their bingo cards. One would think that the same stratum of society could be found on online bingo sites too, but a Bingohall.com survey revealed otherwise. Bingohall.com, one of the larger online bingo sites, has found that its main demographic is significantly younger than one would have thought, made up mainly of women in their thirties.
Scott Logan, Vice President of Marketing at Bingohall.com expressed his surprise at the results of the survey, saying that “typically, if you walk into any offline bingo hall, you’re going to find table after table of retired ladies sweating on the next number out ... we’ve found this just isn’t the case when it comes to online players.” In an attempt to explain the results, Logan maintained that more and more younger women who still work full-time are turning to online bingo for relaxation after they get home from a hard day's work. “We provide an enjoyable community that makes [relaxation] possible,” said Logan.
