A 71-year-old great grandmother recently won a £103,450 bingo jackpot at her local Gala Bingo Club in the UK. The total jackpot was comprised of the £100,000 national prize, a £3,183 regional prize, and her local club's £267 prize. Beating out approximately 750,000 other bingo players across the UK for the national win, the unnamed woman from Werrington was reportedly stunned into numbness upon completing a full house on her bingo card, and had to be given some brandy to loosen up.

In a stroke of luck for the woman, which led to her scooping the bingo jackpot, she reportedly decided to go to the Gala Bingo Club one night earlier than she usually did, as her husband's television watching wasn't allowing her to fall asleep. After winning the bingo money, she still couldn't manage to sleep well, for obviously different reasons, so she reportedly took another swig of brandy to induce sleep's effect.
