The Muckleshoot Tribe is currently developing two new gaming facilities in the proximity of Auburn, Washington. One of the facilities that is now under construction is a new Muckleshoot Bingo Hall on the Muckleshoot Reservation, designed to operate across the street from the Muckleshoot Casino. With the opening of a new bingo hall, all bingo activities at the existing tribal casino will cease.
A tribal spokesperson was reported as saying that the new two-story bingo hall will spread over 65,000 square feet and is expected to accommodate up to 1,100 bingo players. The venue is scheduled for opening in August.
The second tribal project is a new casino being constructed immediately next to the existing gaming venue. The facility will be 42,000 square feet in size and will have many diverse attractions, such as video slot machines, casino gaming tables, a deli, and a bar. The facility, which was cleared for construction in 2001, is slated for completion in September.
