Nathan Keir, a resident of New Zealand, recently came up with a new virtual game, dubbed "Tringo," which is actually a hybrid of "Tetris" and bingo. Currently, "GBA Tringo" is distributed by Crave Entertainment Inc., a publisher of videogame entertainment products, for the Game Boy Advance portable game player. Sean Ryan, an ex-executive at interactive entertainment software developer Sega, who initially acquired a license to the game from Keir and later sold it to Crave Entertainment, was reported as saying that "Tringo" already has already raked in substantial profits.
On a prior occasion, Keir said that he invented "Tringo" because he was deeply frustrated with bingo's randomness. According to Keir, the new game was developed as a more skill-based alternative to the game of bingo. |
