The Gala Bingo Club in Lakeside, United Kingdom, recently fell victim to an armed robbery. A gang of at least five men, armed with knives, stormed into the bingo club several days ago. At that time, the gaming facility's employees were closing the venue and collecting the night's proceeds.

According to Sgt David Bishop, the detective in charge of the case, one of the robbers jumped over the reception desk and threatened one of the venue's staff members.

The thieves managed to escape the bingo parlor with over £20,000 (~$37,000). Although employees were shaken by the hold-up, no one was seriously injured. Police said that the robbers were seen leaving the scene of crime aboard a blue Daewoo Leganza.
