According to a recent report, Mair Wiggins, a 65-year-old widow from Tewkesbury, Great Britain, is the latest winner of the National Bingo Game. Wiggins apparently dismissed her banker's recent advice to cease all gambling activities, and continued to attend bingo sessions at the pace of six times a week. Her bingo addiction ultimately payed off when she scooped the £96,000 (~$175,000) grand jackpot several days later.

Wiggins, a mother of five and grandmother of eight, was reportedly playing at Gloucester's Gala Bingo Club when she completed a full house in only 31 numbers, beating players from 500 bingo clubs across the country. When asked about what she intended to do with this windfall, the lucky bingo winner said that, in accordance with a promise she had previously made, she would split the money with her friend. She was also reported as saying that she would purchase a ticket to Australia.
