Land-based Bingo players use cards with 25 squares, arranged in five columns of five boxes each. The middle “empty square” automatically counts as a number for all players. Each column is headed by one of the letters making up the word BINGO. Under the first column, headed by the letter B, there are five slots numbered from 1 to 15; under the letter I, the second column features another five numbers ranging from 16 to 30. Further columns are organized in a similar fashion. Here's a little tip from www.dot-bingo.com: There's no need to assign any special value to the column letters, since their only function is to help players better locate numbers.
Obviously, bingo players wanting to hit the Internet would enter a simulated online version of the traditional Land-based Bingo Hall, where virtual bingo cards resembling the real thing will be "distributed."
Bingo is played with 75 ping pong-style balls, each bearing different numbers from 1 to 75, which are placed in a spherical cage used to mix them up. Modern bingo games, unlike their early predecessors, often use an electronic device called a blower, which uses air pressure to mix around the balls. The blower is specifically designed to grab a single ball out to the top of the machine. The masterboard, which is a plain flat board with spaces for holding bingo balls, is used to line up extracted balls. As the board is gradually covered by numbered balls, the very same numbers will be displayed on an electronic board, so that players may verify their results.
