A string of Northern Ireland-based bingo halls came together for a joint bingo night to raise money for the Tsunami relief effort in Asia. The eleven bingo halls affiliated with Lucky's Bingo Group of Ulster are planning to send the money to aid the rebuilding of Kamala primary school in Phuket, Thailand. The school building suffered serious damage from the Tsunami and is in need of major repair.

The Director if Lucky's Bingo Group, William Gregg, issued a statement urging the public, including those who are not regular bingo players, to attend the charity event. The event's goal is to raise at lease £15,000. Despite the night's emphasis on charity, a £10,000 payout was also featured.

As part of the continuing charity project, Gregg is even planning to visit Phuket in April, where he will survey the project's progress.
