Several members of local UK bingo clubs are outraged at the implications expected from the government's proposed Gambling Bill. The bill is expected to reduce cash prizes for existing bingo halls.
The bill will provide for the establishment of 24 "super casinos," which many patrons fear will negatively impact local bingo businesses. They fear that bringing mega casinos to the UK will force smaller clubs to cut prize funds, and decrease the chances for winning big.
Bingo operators are hoping to generate enough protest to encourage the legislature to make substantial modifications in the bill before letting it pass.
